Research Summary "An Empowerment Pattern Study" for the elderly with the "drama therapy" approach Author: Dr. Majid Amraei (University professor and chairman of Drama therapy Association of Iran DTCI Review : According to official statistics published by legal authorities in many countries, the "change in the lifestyle of human societies," especially in industrial societies, has led many countries to catch up with aging populations. According to the statistics, the world's population is rapidly aging and the proportion of the elderly in each census is rising from the previous census. "Issues and problems of maintenance of the elderly", which is closely linked with the increase in their numbers and ratios, has become much more important from the point of view of the world's nations, which called "Year 1999" the "Year of the Elderly." Seeking to find solutions that can reduce the issues of the elderly, it has been considered seriously since then as one of the major goals of the country. In this regard, using the methods of empowerment of the elderly can reduce some of the concerns that the author proposes "method of drama therapy" as a model for "empowering" the elderly and believes that this treatment is due to: - "visual appeal", - "The game is centered," - "Economical" and - "Entertaining" is more effective than other methods of treatment and empowerment. Finding out how to deal with aging and the issues surrounding them, as well as empowering the elderly to prevent: "Spending on high family expenses" as well "Reducing socio-cultural issues" "Attention to the dynamics of family economics" and "Avoid Wasting the Time of Families" and involved "Enrichment of leisure time" and "Active keeping old people in the hearts of the families" is one of the most important necessities of this research. To this end, effective models such as the "Empowerment Model for Dramatherapy" can be effective in the following ways: - Avoiding the decline of the social relationships of the elderly community - changing life style . - Preventing gaps between generations. - Strengthening interpersonal and social relationships. - Reducing mental and psychological issues ... These issues "remind us that we should prepare ourselves to face aging ...
